This is just a little page created in tribute to what I, and many like me, feel to be the greatest Irish traditional group of the twentieth century.
Having grown up on the island of Newfoundland in the 1970's and 80's I heard quite a bit of this tremendous band through their excellent recordings and their marvelous television series and specials. And It was via their talents that my love for the traditional music of Newfoundland and Ireland was nurtured.
So if you're like me and remember this great band and have had trouble finding any sort of information about them, I hope this page will serve as a good resource.
